besökts två gånger tidigare i historien.

Today the whole team was enjoying the full potential of Swedens by far
longest underwater cave system.
One team spent the whole day climbing into the upper cave entrance
where they’ve passed through a thick ice layer and then climbed down
an ice cold waterfall to explore a cave that has only been visited
twice before in history. This time the aim was to evaluate the
potential to dive in this cave. So far no large enough passage has
been found but the search will continue.
Meantime a team of five set off all the way to the end of sump 1 and
put a team of two in sump 2. For those who have followed the
expedition through the years will remember that last years big
discovery was the dry section and this dive in the next sump has been
in the plans for over a year now. And just as we hoped the cave
continues on through beautiful tunnels. More info on this will
follow. After four and a half hours underground the team resurfaced to
be greeted by the warm afternoon sun and a highly appreciated cup of
coffee. With so much going on and new discoveries being made every day
the spirits are high as the expedition has entered the second half.
